Sebastià Agustí Adrover, curator

Sebastià Agustí Adrover Vicens was born in Santanyí, Mallorca, in 1972. He studied for a teaching diploma in Palma, specializing in English Philology (1994). An avid reader, he made his first forays into the business of writing at an early age, from when he was studying, with collaborations in La Taca Negra [The Black Mark] (1992-1994), published by the UIB Teacher Training School, and in s’Escarràs [The Splinter], a political and cultural magazine for the district of Santanyí, where he gave the opening address for the Feast of Saint James in 2004. His interest in narrative prose and poetry has led him to publish several works in literary revues and to collaborate now and again in catalogues for writers and painters. After finishing, in the year 2000, a course to become a Specialist in Archive Systems to Support Research, his own research has been devoted to studying the biography of Father Miquel Clar Vila, which he has published in specialist magazines such as Randa. He has published the collected letters Son afectíssim Antoni M. Alcover Prevere. Epistolari entre Mn. Alcover i Mn. Clar [Yours affectionately Antoni M Alcover, priest. Correspondence between Fr Alcover and Fr Clar] (2005), Som Miquel Clar, Pvre. Epistolari amb Mn. Alcover, amb altres personatges destacats de la seva època i papers personals [I am Miquel Clar, priest. Correspondence with Fr Alcover, with Other Important People of his Time and Personal Papers] (2014), and the book El Gran Golafre. Epistolari, ficció històrica, humor i sàtira segons Mn. Miquel Clar [The Great Glutton. Correspondence, Historical Fiction and Satire According to Fr Miquel Clar] (2018). Another result of his research and creativity is the project you have in your hands, published in 2019.
